Last night I hung out with a couchsurfing friend near Palais Royal. He was trying to learn how to ride a bike without crashing into the drunk people on benches/ the pillars of the Comédie-Française. Actors from the theater were taking cigarette breaks on the balcony overlooking us, in full Louis XIV style dress-- powdered wigs, painted white faces, and all. We tried to speak to them but our French was insufficient.
Today I received one of the best packages maybe of all time, from Viet. Merci, mon ami.
Tomorrow I leave for Berlin! Saturday night I take the 15 hour bus ride back... Sunday I write that 10 page paper on Albert Camus that I should have done this weekend. The draw of spring and sunshine was just too much.
My camera is pretty out of commission but I did upload some Paris pictures awhile ago here. Featuring: fire hula hooper, peacocks, erotic bears, disturbing children's books, impulsive hair cuts, and my latest culinary attempts.
a bientot.
